Interactions with other drugs: Fluoxetin and Fluvoxamine (antidepressants) moderately inhibit the action of cyp2c19 in the catalysis of allicin. Omeprazole 20mg daily metabolism may be reduced by allicin in people with CYP2C19*1/CYP2C191, *2 and *3. It may increase the effects of anticoagulants (example warfarin) and aspirin in the body.
Interactions with plants/foods: when in long use with Ginseng and Yohimbe extracts observe for bleeding spots. This is detected in the prothrombin/bleeding time. Allicin as an antioxidant in garlic may increase the effect of liver damage when taken with alcohol. Don’t take alcohol when taking DAPROF HYPERTONE.
